Today, Sylvester, Shiyun and me went to watch "Cyborg She" at Century Square, Shiwen didnt not go as she was sick. "Cyborg She" is a Japanese movie about a dull university guy, Jiro meeting a Cyborg which is created by him when he was about 80 year old and had sent it back through the times to be his "girlfriend" to assist and accompany him when he was still young, because he looks so friendless and loner. (No one celebrates his birthday with him.)



Obviously, this movie is not very popular. Because this movie came out in Singapore on 21 August and by now, less than 10 cinemas are showing it. Tampines Mall GV is already not showing it and Century Square Shaw is showing it pathetically in only two off-peak time slots which are 10.30am and 1.10pm.

Apparently, We girls wanted to watch this movie, so no matter how unpopular it looks like, WE INSISTED ON WATCHING IT! We watched the 1.10pm one and the theatre was just one-tenth filled, less than 20 people, I tell you.

Overall, I personally think the movie is great! Haha, I cried! (Okay, I admitted I cried almost to any movies that slightly sad.) My friends got so excited when they saw me crying during the movie. =.= LOL!




Throughout this movie, it mainly showed how the Cyborg girl helped Jiro in many ways, like doing stuffs the Old Jiro have regretted not doing when he was young, she also provides company to this guy, who looks so loner.
This movie is neither happy or sad ending, because the story did not end when the Cyborg "sort of died" and broken into half (We thought the movie has finished and almost have stood up), it goes on saying that the present (not the first Jiro who created the Cyborg, as the history is now rewritten as the Cyborg is sent back through times and changed the history.) Jiro spending his rest of his life, recreating back the same Cyborg, using the leftover and memory chips and all. And it did not end here somemore. It went on saying that after Jiro died for 100 years later, a high school girl who looks exactly like the Cyborg bought the Cyborg on a auction after seeing it at a museum. Since the Cyborg is dead (Maybe too old then spoilt or wad, I dunno.), she took out her memory chip and viewed it. Being touched and curious about the dull university guy, she travelled back to Year 2008 to get to know him. Actually, this is a complicated and confusing because things keep travelled back to times and rewrite the history, but if you watched it, it is not confusing at all.

This movie is a movie I dun mind watching twice. I mean, not in cinema, maybe online or VCDs. I will never watch same movie twice in Cinema! So waste of money. =P

Okay lah, some bad parts I have to say, the fan cheering is very loud, the intro part is too low for him and he did break some parts at the climax there. But the feelings and emotions he really got sing out, maybe even better than the original singer? Anyway, this is sang on 10/09/05, nearly 3 years ago when he was 18.
